Frequently asked questions

Q1. Will this serum suit my skin type?
Absolutely. Retinol is the most studied ingredient as a treatment for acne and signs of aging. If you struggle with mild acne, post acne pigmentation, dullness, sun damage, tanning, premature fine lines, or an overall loss of glow, this serum is the solution to your problems.
Q2. How often can this product be used?
If you are a beginner and have never used retinol before, we suggest you ease into it. Start with using the serum 3-4 times a week and no more. After 1.5 months of this, you can increase to 5 times a week. After 3 months of use, you can then move to using it daily. If you are already using a retinol like tretinoin or adapalene every day, then feel free to use our serum daily at night. Please patch test on your neck before use.
Q3. Can the serum be applied during day time?
Absolutely not. This serum is only to be used at night and followed with sunscreen the morning after.
Q4. What activities can I use / not use while using the serum?
Do not use Vitamin C with the Retinol Serum. Stick to using Vitamin C in the morning. Do not use the serum with an AHA/BHA such as Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, or Salicylic Acid. Do not use any physical scrubs while using this product.
Q5. Can I use this after I have shaved my face?
Dermaplaning or shaving exfoliates the first layer of the skin. Applying a retinol serum or other actives can irritate the skin barrier causing irritation. If you have shaved your face, avoid using retinol for 2 nights.
Q6. I suffer from moderate to extreme acne, can I use this serum?
If you suffer from moderate to extreme acne, we recommend visiting a dermatologist and not starting this retinol treatment. Once you have completed your treatment, this is a wonderful serum to maintain your skin.
